Note for:   John Henry Flatt,   ABT 1782 - 24 SEP 1824          Index
His occupation is listed as a farmer. Served in the 3rd Reg Tennessee Military, drafted Overton, TN,
served under Capt Huddleston, Reg of Col James Ralston. Possibly
this may be a brother of James Flatt. The whole family may have
moved to Jackson County. The John S. Flatt who was in Hardin
County in 1848 was not the same as the John who married Margaret
(Peggy) Parker. In the notes of FAYE ?, she finds that James
Flatt and Rebecca (her grandparents) had a son, John S. She is
not positive there were two John S's. In her notes, she found a
John S. Flatt, born in Tennessee in 1821. He married Pamelia.
Uncle William told her this was his father's uncle (a brother to
Steve W). They moved to Texas -lived and died near Cason.
