Andrew Seitz/Sides of Mecklenburg Co NC

What I find puzzling about the theorized children for Andrew is why there is a lack of children named Andrew amongst descendants (save for Barbara Sides Harsel, with son Andrew Augusus) . It IS interesting that there are Andrews in Walker Co, AL and also with the Lincoln Co NC descendants > TN>AL.

Andrew Sides b 1740 m Margaret ? supposition, have not seen proof of this nor children. Died before 1806. Andrew may be the same one referred to Andrew Felsinger, father of Dorothea Felsinger, wife of Johann Heinrich Seitz will dated July 8, 1766 in which he is referred to both as godson and grandson. Simon Hart, who acts as power of attorney for Andreas Felsinger, also sold land to Andrew Sides in 1768 in NC.

Daniel notes about a Daniel Sides who married a Rachel Hartsell with sons George and William Nelson. However, can't find evidence for Rachel Hartsell exisiting nor a Daniel Sides of the right age. No proof whatsoever of existence aside from some handwritten notes

Michael's- Notes on John Michael. One source has John Michael Sides b c 1761 m Elizabeth Litaker  (daughter of Johannes Phillipe Litaker and Maria Ludwig) c 1791- 2 daughters Rachel b c 1793 (married a Whitley) and Elizabeth b c 1799 m ?  Hatley. When John died c 1806, Elizabeth married Elijah Perry on 7/16/1811 Montgomery Co NC. He's on 1810 census, names around are Leonard Lype, Nehemiah Hearne (Elijah was born c1780 and died Mar-Apr 1859 in Stanly county. He married Elizabeth ?. She was born 1765-1775 and died 1850-1860 in Stanly county. They had at least four other children: two unknown sons born 1784-1794 and 1800-1810, John S. Perry born c1807 and Philip Perry b c1809. I have pretty good information on John (my line) and Philip. Elijah makes his first appearance in Montgomery county in the 1810 census.. Names around in 1800 Montgomery Co NC census Auston Roland, Jacob Lipe, Neheamiah Hearn, Thomas Castles, Charles Robins, Richard Green. 1810- Nehemiah Hearne, John Perry, Moses Cocks, Jonas Lype, John Bower, Elijah Perry (same relative position as John Sides). (Phillip Lytaker on 1790 Mecklenburg census enum next to Christopher Lyerly, Jonas Lype, Godfrey Lipe, Jr and Sr, -Not too far (alpha order) from Andrew Sides and Henry Sides, Godfrey Lipe next door to Andrew Sides on 1800 Mecklenburg census. Theory: John Michael is the John listed on the 1800 Montgomery Co, NC census, possibly not on the 1790 census because he had not yet married Elizabeth Litaker, daughter of Philip Litaker. This John has 1 son under 10, born between 1791-1800, and 4 daughters born between 1791 and 1800. He died c 1810 so could have had additional son(s). He is apparently NOT the same Michael as the one who has a will in 1831, whose wife is Mary M. The Michael Sides, Jr who married Delilah Peacock could not be a son of John Michael married Elizabeth Leyendecker since they married c 1791. Cannot find the right Whitley-Sides or Hatley-Sides connection.

John Speight has John Michael married twice, first to Madeline Ludwig. Need to compare with baptismal records from St John's Lutheran church, doubt this.

Here's what I (Richard Perry) suspect, but as yet have not been able to prove that these two are one and the same person (several other researchers are also trying to prove this):

Elijah Perry, b c1767 possibly in Orange county, NC, m1 Sarah Crabtree 9 Jul 1788 in Orange county, she was b c1769 in MD or VA and died c1810 in possibly Montgomery county; m2 Elizabeth Leyendecker 16 Jul 1811 in Montgomery county, she was b 1772 in Berks county, PA. Elijah and Sarah had three unknown sons b between 1789-1795, Daniel b c1798, Elisabeth b 1800, John S. and Philip. Elijah and Elizabeth had son David b 1817.

Elijah was the son of Booth Perry (b c1740 probably in Bertie county, NC, d 1775-1785 possibly in Orange county) and Mary Fuller (b 1740 in Bertie county, d after 1775). Booth and Mary were married 1 Feb 1763 in Oxford, Granville county, NC. Elijah's siblings were: Peter Perry (b c1764), Abner Perry (b c1770), John Perry (b c1773) and Tilmon Perry (b c1775).-Richard Perry

Another source suggests that this John Michael, son of Andrew, same circa birth date, married Mary Magdalena Ludwig, including some records at St John's Lutheran Church. There is a Michael Sides on the 1790 Mecklenburg Co NC census, on 1800 Cabarrus, 1810 Cabarrus

The Will of Michael Sides is listed as the Will of Michael Sides & Will of John Michael Sides Senior.

Probated April 1, 1831 in Montgomery County, NC
Court clerk was John Bell and J. Bellaicison clerk.

The children in this will DO NOT include any Elizabeth's or Rachel's.
I don't know who those gals are.

The Will does include.
Daniel
Katherine
Michael
Polly
Cristena
Mary M. his wife
Executors appointed were Michael Sides and Mary M. Sides

The Will was written on the 19th of March, 1831.  As happened in that day.  The Will was probably written while Michael Senior was under the weather.  Considering it was probated on the 1st of April only 13 days later.

Witnesses to the Will on the 19th were Phillip Ridenhauer and Solomon Ridenhauer.  There's another Surname that inner mingles with the posterity of Michael Sides Senior.

It is possible that he is buried at St. Johns Lutheran Church or at the Bear Creek Lutheran Church Cemeteries with Murich.

Could Daniel son of Michael be the Daniel b 1794 who married Marie Catherine Lefler?  Daniel in Ridenhour District
