Source then relates that 'John and Naomi' sold a tract called 'Addition' in 1756, meaning they were married by then. Naomi had a child (Thomas) by her 3rd husband Thomas Layfield circa 1746, so could not have been married to John Newbold before that time. And since John and Naomi's first son, Francis, is estimated born 1747/48, their marriage must have taken place between 1746 and 1748. [S70] 5. Source states that NEWBOLD, John m. Last positive record of second wife Rachel alive is in 1774; Margaret dies June 1789. She likely married John Newbold sometime between those dates. [S194] 59, 62.
