      Source states that "Elkridge, William, m. by 20 may 1720, Abigail" was the administrator of William Newbold's estate: " ...admx of William Newbold of SO Co". This reference reaffirms that William Newbold is dead at least by this date as is of Somerset County MD. The Abigail mention is William Newbold's widow, and she must have remarried very quickly to Mr. Elkridge.

      Source notes that in 1678, Thomas Newbold and wife Adrianna and 2 children, Murphy and Sarah, moved from VA to MD. Most likely scenario would be Thomas and wife having one child each year before 1678, which would make marriage most likey before 1676. It is possible that Thomas married Adrianna in England and brought her to VA in 1674.
