    3. [S194] 59.
Source estimates birthdate for Naomi Hinman as circa 1723.

    4. [S194] 62 & 63.
Source states that Naomi is dead by 1774 as indicated by two accounts: first, John Newbold is married to Rachel by August 3 1774, according to a Will of one William Thompson that date where they were named as administrators; second, the fact that the death of her son by Thomas Layfield, also named Thomas, on 3 April 1774, he is referred to the 'late Mrs. Newbold of Rehobeth Hundred'.

    5. [S194] 59-60.
Source mentiions that Naomi's heirs petition for division of her Estate in Sussex County Orphan's Court. So she is dead by May 1773.

    6. [S194] 75.
Finally, Source provides a notation that a "Mrs. Newbold was buried April 3, 1773". In the context of Naomi's heirs in court about her estate in May of 1773, and the fact that she is referred to as "the late Mrs. Newbold" in April of 1774, it is logical that this funeral was hers.

    7. [S194] 74-75.
Source's reference to a funeral at Cool Springs Church on April 3 of 1773 is deemed to refer to Naomi Newbold.

    8. [S194] 61 & 63.
Source states that Naomi was married 3 times before John. Source then relates that 'John and Naomi' sold a tract called 'Addition' in 1756, meaning they were married by then. Naomi had a child (Thomas) by her 3rd husband Thomas Layfield circa 1746, so could not have been married to John Newbold before that time. And since John and Naomi's first son, Francis, is estimated born 1747/48, their marriage must have taken place between 1746 and 1748.

    9. [S70] 5.
Source states that NEWBOLD, John m. Naomi Layfield, Exc of Wim Fassit before 1 July 1748 'OC-54-55 Sussex County'
